Romantic elopement in Rome

Romantic elopement in Rome

Probably it was one of most romantic elopement in Rome of last year. The light changed so much during this session which allowed for so many different vibes and moods during our shoot. We started shooting at Spanish Steps, it was freezing, so guys took some Champane before moving to Trevi Fountain) we made some pictures at Capitoline Hill and Colosseum, and at the end moved to a Villa Borghese garden’s to enjoy panoramic view of Rome.

I feel so lucky to have had this day and to have met this couple !

It was  Rudy’s dream to have his wedding in Rome, in front of Trevi Fountain. I was really worried about this location, it is one of the most popular place for Rome photoshooting, there are always lot’s of people there. I’ve done lot’s of couple shootings at Fontana di Trevi before, but it was always possible to choose the best moment, light and  point without tourist, but you don’t have this possibility when you shoot a wedding ceremony.

The morning of the ceremony, I met Mr. Bonelli – an English speaking celebrant and we choose together the best point without tourists to have an symbolic ceremony. So, at 7.30 am Megan arrived with her Mom. It was very emotional when Rudy met his beautiful bride in front of Trevi Fountain and  we got to experience intimate and romantic wedding ceremony.

After the wedding ceremony at Trevi fountain, we got pictures in front of Pantheon, at Capitoline hill and in front of Colosseum.

Anna contacted me few months before their wedding, it was her dream to have their wedding pictures at Fontana di Trevi. We met early in the morning, when the city was still sleeping, and made beautiful photos with natural light at Fontana di Trevi. There are lots of very cozy streets near Trevi Fontain, so we took the opportunity to take some romantic and funny photos.

Irina & Max booked their elopement photoshoot in Rome just one month before their wedding. The timeless charm in combination with the historical background, made Rome the best place where our couple chose to take their wedding photos. Irina’s dream was to made photos at Colosseum, so we decided to strat our shooting their at sunrise.

After we took a taxi to Trevi Fountain, we arrived in 10 mim, it was still early morning and we did not find many tourists at the fountain.

Moving to Pantheon we found a very cozy small street, and of course, we decided to take a few photos

We finished our shooting at Navona Square.

Post-wedding photography session in Rome

Post-wedding photography session in Rome

If you are looking for beautiful outdoor shooting locations, Rome is definitely the city where you’ll find a lot of nice places. Here are a few of my favourite spots that are good for shoots. Getting around in  Rome is very easy: most of the locations are just walkable distance from each other (like Spanish Steps & Trevi Fountain, Colosseo & Roman Forum, Pantheon & Navona Square)

Alex & Alena were in Rome for thei honeymoon and they wanted to have their after wedding session done in Rome . I suggested to start early morning at Trevi Fountain to avoid crowds, given that it is one of the most iconic (and obviously one of the busies) spots in Rome.

After that, we stopped at my favorite location- Pantheon:

After Pantheon we moved to Piazza Venezia – famous for its elegant architecture. It offers a lot of beautiful angles for your engagement or wedding photos in Rome.
